The National MRC office has determined a number of CORE COMPETENCIES that all MRC members should train to obtain. MRC'S do a variety of jobs based on local protocols and capabilities, so there is no one size fits all approach for Advanced training.
Some of the classes we are looking at for advanced training include:

- IS-26 Guide to Points of Distribution (available online)
- EDS 1 Emergency Dispensing Site Part 1
- EDS 2 Emergency Dispensing Site Part 2
- Red Cross - Shelter Operations
- Red Cross - Shelter Simulation
- Red Cross - Mass Care
- Red Cross - Damage Assessment
- CPR - BLS
- First Responder
- Incident command System - ICS-200
- National Incident Management System - IS-800
- Skywarn Spotter Training
- START TRIAGE
Many of these courses will be presented by our Medical Reserve Corps in the 2010-2011 season. Many others will be presented with the cooperation of our neighboring MRC's
